Jacques Marchand
Seduced in Charente Limousine by certain clays cooking fawn sandstone, Jacques Marchand decided in 1977 to settle in Brigueuil. He created his ceramic activity there in 1988. 1972/1976: at the E NS de Céramique Industrielle de Sèvres, where he was an engineer, he enriched his knowledge and know-how with rigor and discipline: composition of pastes, enamels, colors; techniques for shaping ceramic bodies... At the same time, the sculptor from the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, Marcel Derny, became his Master of Sculpture. Then, at the Decorative Arts of Limoges, Guy SALESSE will refine his mastery of graphic techniques. A full portrait here.
